Digital Game Projects

Work Hard, Play Hard!

This portfolio section harbors several of the digital game projects I had a hand in developing. A jack-of-all-trades, I have designed the mechanics, level structure, and audio on several of these projects and have also done some minor programming and graphic design. I have provided links to the games where possible and descriptions of the projects in cases where the games are not available.

I received my Master's Degree in Serious Game Design from Michigan State University and have an interest in games that are useful beyond their entertainment value. I have divided the games into categories to help separate those which were designed to entertain from those with educational or marketing purposes.

Games for Teaching

World Traveler: Paris

This game was a joint effort between Mary Stanish, Michael Prinke and myself, and was also my Master's thesis project at MSU. World Traveler provides a suite of minigames intended to help students enrolled in study abroad programs remain safe overseas and blend into foreign cultures. Completed in May, 2011.

Games for Entertainment

Wrath of the Minotaur

An image of Wrath of the Minotaur.

This was a mini game project completed in a few short weeks at MSU. Inspired by the myth of Theseus and the minotaur, this game requires the player to solve puzzles and avoid traps in order to escape a dangerous labyrinth. It was chosen for entry into the 2009 MSU Student Showcase where it received honorable mention for its ambience and stunning artwork. Completed in Fall, 2008.
